SAD NEWS [D&C]?

Hi.

I have some very sad news to report. I miscarried our baby.

On Friday, I spotted light pink. I called my Dr. and he asked me to go to the ER. Hubby and I really weren't concerned becuase we have a lot of friends who spotted this early.

Well, it turns out my HCG levels were only 400 when they should be 2000 right now. We waited 48 hours and I tested again. Last night they were 300.

So I am scheduled Tuesday for a D&C. I am so upset. Between my Dad being sick (he was so excited I was preggo).

I don't know how mcuh more i can take...

My friend miscarried in August last year in month 4 of her pregnancy and had a D&C.

She received local anesthesia for the procedure, so she was awake for it. The procedure itslef lasted about 1/2 hour to 45 minutes. Then she was in recovery for a few hours. They gave her antibiotics to prevent any possible infection as well as painkillers. She had cramping and some bleeding after the procudure. That is pretty much what I know from her ordeal. I know it is not easy and the emotional healing takes longer then the physical does.

I am so sorry!! I know what you are going through I just had the D&C done 3 weeks ago from tomorow. It was and still is hard for us but we came to terms it just was not meant to be we will try again and hope and pray for the best. As far as the D&C, it worked out well for me because I was so crampy and bleeding pretty badly and as soon as I got the D&C done it all stopped and I felt good. Before the D&C when I had all the cramping it was just a daily reminder whta was going on in my body and it just killed me inside.
