Hey everyone...I haven't posted in a while bc I'm not feeling like planning my wedding recently. My mom was recently diagnosed with very progressed cancer and there is a very good chance we may be moving up the wedding to within the next two months so she can be there- it's really sad too, bc she is actually my step-mom, my birth mother died of cancer when I was a little girl- it's just so sad to go through it again. FH is really understanding and also wants my mom to be at our wedding, but it is so hard to get into planning when I'm feeling so down.
Anyway, I need some suggestions about which vendors can do things very quickly- I haven't even gone dress shopping yet- any place besides davids' bridal that delivers quickly? Any other vendors (we have the majors- photo-dj-hall-video) that you know of who can plan things quickly? Thanks.

I am so sorry that you are going through this and you are in my thoughts. I think having your wedding early so that your stepmom can be there is a wonderful idea.
Regarding dresses.....I do not know where you live...if you have access to NYC, go to Angelo Lambrou (www.angelolambrou.com). He has beautiful, custom made dresses and he works fast....a few weeks. He also has gorgeous off the rack dresses that he can alter to your needs. He did my dress in a few weeks....made to order; see my album if you'd like for an example.
if you need anything else....I know all NYC vendors....please email me....I have dozens but I am not sure where you live.

I am so sorry---that must be incredibly difficult to deal with. I think it's great that you're trying to move up the date so that your mom can be with you. I wish I had ideas for you-----I bought my dress at Kleinfelds and I bought a sample dress so I actually walked out with the dress that night----obviously it requires alterations, but I'm sure if they knew your situation they could get you in quickly. See if you can buy samples wherever it is that you go looking.... Good luck.

I am so sorry to hear what you and your family is going through. I am really not of any help as far as the vendors. I would suggest just calling some and seeing if they are available on whatever date you plan on having your wedding. I think that is a really sweet gesture to move your wedding up for your mom. I am so sorry for all that you are going through. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry to hear your sad news!!!! you and your family are in my prayers! I'm not sure of particular vendors, but I can tell you this... The next few months are slow seasons for weddings so booking vendors should not be an issue at all. My Best Friend and MOH planned a wedding for her sister in no more than 3 months...

Oh...and I don't know of any vendors, but try RK bridal for your dress. My dress took less than 2 months to arrive, and I'm sure they can place a rush order for certain dresses. You can also try department stores...there are some beautiful white/ivory evening gowns you can get off the rack.

RK bridal in NYC I think can provide dresses straight off the rack in a wide range of sizes, and is reasonably priced. Just call them up to double check....
Since there are fewer weddings in the winter, I bet you can find vendors (florists, limos, invitations) that are able to accommodate your schedule. Party city may be able to do invitations quickly....

sorry to hear that. My FH's cousin moved his wedding up because his FIL was sick. Im not really sure what vendors they used but i Know the bride got her dress online at houseofbrides.com. hope that helps
