Hey everyone...I haven't posted in a while bc I'm not feeling like planning my wedding recently. My mom was recently diagnosed with very progressed cancer and there is a very good chance we may be moving up the wedding to within the next two months so she can be there- it's really sad too, bc she is actually my step-mom, my birth mother died of cancer when I was a little girl- it's just so sad to go through it again. FH is really understanding and also wants my mom to be at our wedding, but it is so hard to get into planning when I'm feeling so down.
Anyway, I need some suggestions about which vendors can do things very quickly- I haven't even gone dress shopping yet- any place besides davids' bridal that delivers quickly? Any other vendors (we have the majors- photo-dj-hall-video) that you know of who can plan things quickly? Thanks.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. My Father passed away in 97' from Cancer and then last year I lost my Step-Father to Cancer as well. It is a terrible disease to see someone battle that, but it can be battled so keep your spirits up.
I am sure there are plenty of vendors that can accommodate you.
My friend got married and planned in 2 months and the dress was custom made for her. I believe she went to Bridal couture in Manhasset.
I would start calling some people and just explain the situation.
Maybe even consider hiring a coordinator to help out and they usualy have great relationships with vendors that can get things done quick and right.

I am so sorry to hear you are going through this. Please know that you and your mom are in my prayers.
As others have suggested, RK Bridal in NYC would be a great place to look for a dress. They can get many designers in very quickly.

My goodness! I'm sorry you're going through this, and my prayers are with you and your family. I can't help with the vendors, but I would call Phyllis at Gownfind, she may be able to get a dress in quickly, or you can look for sample sales, where you take the dress home that day. Good Luck! thank you so much ladies- I really appreciate all of your support- luckily I have friendly relationships with the vendors we have all ready booked, so the hall, dj, video and photo have been so excellent and supportive- thebiggest thing will be getting a dress in time- I really appreciate all of your suggestions. As far as your dress. RKBridal does have designers that do not take that long for dresses to come in. Go on their website and check it out.

I am so sorry to hear that!! Your in my prayers. Well I don't know many Dj's I have a band but try Body Rock one of my friends used to be a dancer for them. and Halls that may be difficult I'd say call whichever ones spark your interest and take whatever day is available. look on the LIW vendors and just call! see if they have your date available! good luck sweetie!
That is incredibly sad news and I am so so sorry I think we would all be better help to you if you maybe told us what you needed and what area. It's horrible to have to plan the happiest time of your life knowing it will be followed by the saddest time. I will pray for you and your family.
