Sad news...poor FH

My FH was minutes away from leaving for his Bachelor party on Saturday night when he found out one his good friends who was supposed to meet them out that night died. He was the fireman--Joey Graffignino---that was killed in the fire downtown on sat. My FH was devastated. He locked himself in his room and was so upset he didn't want to go, but 16 guys were waiting for him outside in the limo and he couldn't really cancel. So he reluctantly went and it put a damper on the whole night.
I feel so bad for FH. He works so hard and never gets to go out and this was going to be his one fun night.
I feel even worse for Joey's family. Instead of favors we are making a donation to them for the wedding. Won't make up for them losing their dad and husband, but hopefully it will help.

FH's best man is a firefighter and we were out on Saturday night when we heard the news- he was a mess as well.

FBIL knew him as well- but more of an acquaintance.

It scares me so much that FH wants to get into FDNY so badly- I asked him a million questions about how they could be allowed to run out of Oxygen and stuff....

So sad...
