Safety of Bassinets?

Hello all. I'm a first time mommy-to-be who has been lurking and enjoying your wisdom for some time. I have a question I was hoping to get some input on. I feel like there is all sort of concern about crib safety, but I never read about bassinet safety tests. Is it just because the baby is too small to get in trouble that safety isn't as much of a concern? Or are there actually safety tests for bassinets as well?

Re: Safety of Bassinets?

That's an excellent question. I don't know about the safety requirements but I'm pretty sure all of the crib requirements are for when the baby gets older and can move around. The baby will be out of the bassinet by that point.

Congrats on your pregnancy!! Stop being a lurker and post some more!
