Sail Harbor in Bayville!

Original post by ThongLori

Hi ladies,
Who can tell me more about Sail Harbor? I'm looking for a place with very little glitz and glamour and this one seems to have a pretty European feel on the inside. Thoughts?

Sail Harbor was the first place i looked at, but what a disgrace to me it looked so pretty from the picture. But when i got there i was so turned off, first the back where the gazebo was all conertete. I had a 9:00am appointment and i walked inside and a women said someone will be with you in a few minutes. So we were looking around there is only one big room which they divide in half with a screen. It was so small i am throwing a 100 people wedding and i could never image how everyone would be comfortable. Half an hour goes bye and no one came to say he on the phone he'll be with you in a few minutes. So we said let's just leave cause a person can not do business like that, it's very rude to ingore people.

That's bad, well I'll put my two sense in too, twice I have called for information, and twice was told someone would call me back, guess what? I'm still waiting and that was two weeks ago, I don't know who's running that place, but they need someone to help with their customer service

i looked there before . I thought it looked so nice in the pictures, but when I got there, I was a bit let down. It is not on the water, the back windows look out into the parking lot with dumpsters. The banquet managers were also rude to us. ...

OMG ditto!

And the room is small!

We had the same experience as all of you. The place was small and when got there we had to wait a half hour before someone came to show us around. Then we sat down in the office and some woman handed us the menu and said 'so when do you want to book?' They didn't explain anything to us. We were very disappointed. But the Crescent Club up the street is very nice, if you're looking for some place on the water.

I do not know much about it but I know that it is owned by the same people as Carltun on the Park

They're actually changing their name within the next week or so to Carltun on the Harbor. Looked there 2 weeks ago. It's a pretty room with a pretty view. Stefan is the contact - FM me if you want the pricing info, etc that I got.
