Is anyone using this church? If so, what music selections are you using? I wanted to choose my own songs for my friend to sing, but apparently some priests are stricter than others with that....I can have the instrumentals but not the lyrics unless I choose a church selection with lyrics...hmph. Anyone have experience?
I'm not up to that part of the process yet, but is the pastor there the priest who is doing your wedding? If not, I would maybe call him and see if it's just a rule at that church or if it's the rule of the particular priest doing your wedding. I'm assuming you wanted secular songs played? I've never been to a wedding where that was done, but I think it's a lovely touch. I think at my parents' wedding, before my mom came in, the church played a Carpenters song.
