wow, so even though I put down a deposit on all my vendors etc, I should ask to take off some $$ due to a tax decrease? WOW. Every penny saved counts!

I am curious too to hear how the halls are responding. If you could FM me also about what to say. I paid tax on my hall and photography. DJ didn't charge tax. Thanks

That was great info and I will be using it for all my vendors. But before we all get too excited, it really doesn't amount to much- on 2500 is about $4 and on 15000 its about $18. My very annoying FH did the math in HIS HEAD(wish I could) after I got all excited.

I have not brought it up, but looked ove rmy contracts last year. If I am being charge tax, it says 'Sales Tax' as the vendor was aware that it could change. Most noteably, it's on the hall contract, as we booked them in Sept 2004. Said we locked in 2004 gratuity as they know that would go up, but sales tax could either go up or down. And it did, it went down!

When Barbara wrote up our contract, she used 8.625% as our tax rate, and told us that it was changing. HTH
