Salmon or Tilapia?

Original post by jellybean1420

I am not a fish eater. FH likes Salmon, but when we met the NRC they said the Tilapia in Baby Lobster Sauce is a HUGE hit. I dont care b/c I dont eat fish, but I also know Salmon is the safe choice. FH said he is ok with Tilapia. What would you choose?

Tilapia sounds delicious!!! And plus you don't always get that, salmon is more common.

Salmon. if the talapia is in a lobster sauce, then it could be a concern b/c some people, even though they can eat fish, are allerigic to shellfish.

just a thought.

Just out of curiousity, how is the salmon prepared? I love both tilapia and salmon so I'm not sure which one to go with. . . but here's a thought you might not have considered, is anyone who is coming to your wedding allergic to shellfish? We have a few and they would not be able to eat the tilapia with baby lobster sauce. . . although it does sound divine. . . yummm! Good Luck

Just curious - why not the Chilean Sea Bass? Yummy

North Ritz updated their menu and the Chilean Sea Bass is now considered an upgrade which means more $$$$.

NOOOOO!!! I was counting on getting the chilean sea bass - what if I signed my contract before the upgrade?

I didn't even think of that. But when I was picking my menu they told me the Sea Bass is now extra $$$$, so I guess it doesnt matter when you signed your contract.

Just make sure they would also be able to do the Tilapia withouth lobster sauce, just in case someone allergic to lobster would like it (like my dad... loves Tilapia... will blow up if he eats shellfish). As long as they have that option, go for it!

By the way... I jumped the gun and voted for salmon before I read your post, but if I could, I would change my answer to tilapia (assuming the above).

good luck!
