I plan on ordering the bridesmaid dresses through Fantasia Bridal in Rocky Point because I'm getting the best possible price through them. Because NONE of my girls live anywhere near there, I told them they can do their alterations wherever they want and wherever they're comfortable. FSIL just texted me that she went to both Bridal Reflections and Lillette's and neither of them will do alterations on dresses that are not bought from their stores. They said they don't want to risk anything happening to the dress and one of them said that most bridal salons are the same way.
Is this the case? Does anybody know of a place who will do outside alterations? Or should everybody just go through Fantasia?

I don't think any other salons will do outside alterations. Look for an independent seamstress.
I think katnwill had one in Nassau/Queens.

Angel Bridals in East Islip does outside alternations. One of my BM is getting married this September and she bought her dress from David's but didn't want to have her dress altered their because she heard horror stories about their alteration department. She found Angel Bridals and they have been great so far!

I don't know if your girls are willing to go to the city, but H&S bridal will alter any dress for a $50 flat fee. The owner is....interesting, but she gets the job done and gets it done well!

This one! Billy and I use them all the time. Right around the corner from our house.
Also Mario's Tailor in Huntington and there's a cleaner on main street in huntington that i used to use for all of my dresses. they do a really good job.
