Salons in Huntington or Commack

I am a BM in a wedding in two weeks and was wondering if anyone could recommend a good salon. I do not want an up-do, I just want it blown out. My friend who I am going with wants an up-do.

my childhood friend works at bocu on jericho turnpike in commack (on town line road/commack road intersection)

she (Dawn) did my hair and my moms and sisters...another girl Laurie did my 2 cousins...they came to my house (b/c it was a sunday morning and she lives around the corner)...but for my sisters wedding we went to the salon...

they have a day spa there too...so you can pamper yourself...it is a little on the pricey side though...

Yabbo,
Thanks for the info. My friend who is getting married is going to Bocu for her hair and make-up with three other bridesmaids. There are a total of seven of us so we did not know if they would be able to accomadate all of us. Thanks for the suggestion.

I would suggest Bocu or Anthony DeFranco Salon (Jericho Tpke., Huntington).

I have been using Linda and Laura at Barbara Ross for years. They are great! They are located in Commack.

try cactus salon in the mayfair shopping center in commack. I'm not sure about updo's but Danielle has been cutting my hair for years and she's wonderful!

MY FH goes to Anthony Defranco - so I called and asked about a trial - they want $130 for a trial - same as day of the wedding. I know they do great work, but that's a lot for a trail IMO.

bocu handled 5 of us for my sisters wedding and there were still at least 10-20 other people there getting all sorts of things done...

7 is no problem...just book time at least a month in advanced (maybe more)

the # is 631-499-1300

Don't forget the Red Door Salon in Saks Fifth Ave. in the Walt WHitman Mall. Check out their website, I thought it would be ridiculously expensive but it turns out they are less than my salon now! They have the specific prices for each salon on their website.

Thanks so much for all of your suggestions. My friend who is getting married in two weeks went to DeFranco salon for a trial and had an awful experience there. So she is now going to Bocu for her wedding day. I did not know there was a Cactus is Mayfair, when did it open?

I guess Cactus has been in Mayfair approx 1 year? The stylist I go to, I've been going to for years when she was at a different location.

Do you know if Cactus in Commack is open Sundays? Any ideas on their prices? Right now, I'm probably doing Bocu, but my mom had also mentioned Cactus. I just don't know anything about it. Do they have a website or anything?

I think Cactus Salon is open Sunday am. Not 100% sure. Their phone # is 631-543-4591. Website is cactustv.com Hope this helps!
