So, DH and I visited my parents today and got to spend some time with Sam and our little girl Charlie (black lab mix). Sam and Charlie did not get along for a while (Charlie was not happy with having to share her house with another dog). I am happy to report that my parents and sister worked hard to integrate Sammy into the house and now he and Charlie are great friends!
Sam is healthy and happy (despite Charlie being a bratty little sister at times).
Background for those unaware: My parents adopted Sam from Kimbalina's uncle nearly two months ago.
Here are some pictures from today. First one is of DH and our girl Charlie.
I am sooooooooo HAPPPPPPY. I got all teary eyed seeing that. Having to let him go was hard on my Uncle, during the rough time he was going through, and it is AMAZING that your family has taken him in.

Kim, I know how difficult it was for your uncle but I'm so happy that my family could help! They love Sam so much and are so happy to have him as an addition to their family!
He's such a sweet dog and now Charlie has a friend to play with!

OMG!!!!!!!!!!! I love them both! I'm so happy Sam got a great home and Charlie is adjusting!

Tell me about it. DH is very allergic to most breeds so we likely won't have a dog (at least not without a lot of research on appropriate breeds). I miss being home for the same reason - I miss having doggies!
