Same color, different style bridesmaid dresses
I've decided that I want all my girls in the same color dress but different styles. They are all different sizes and I want them to be as comfortable as possible and able to find a dress they can afford. My questions...has anyone else done this or are going to do this? Pics?
Do I tell them the color/length I want and tell them to communicate with each other? Or do I have to oversee the process? First come first serve?

I am going to do this. I am picking a color from David's and letting them pick what they feel comfortable in. I was a BM and the bride did it and the pics looked really nice!

I was originally going to do this as well. I was going to pick the color, length and material and was going to let them pick their own. Then I saw a dress in David's that I really like and am having them all in the same dress.

Yup, this is what I think I'm going to do. I'm going to look at some dresses in person with my sisters to decide designer and color. Then I'll probably pick styles that I like and the BMs can choose whatever they like. There are tons of pics on Pinterest.

Re: Same color, different style bridesmaid dresses
I did this! I had to over see it bc certain designers didn't come in my color. And u want to make sure they all get the same material. In my case I picked Jordan dresses with lace on.the bodices in teal, with teal lace and ivory under the lace...Jordan has like 15 dresses in this style BUT only 3 that could come in what I wanted. Some only came in black lace some only cane in white or ivory. The chiffon opitions were high necks with the lace and no one likes it! so ultimately I picked the 3 dresses in satin that cane in teal with teal lace for them to chose from.
If u go with David's they will have an easier time picking so each girl had their own dress.
I have 7 girls so 3 girls in one style & then 2 & 2 for the others.
I'll try to attach pics!

I was planning on choosing same designer/length/color and letting the girls choose their own style. I think it looks amazing! But, when we went dress shopping, they all agreed on one dress (no idea how!), so that made everything real simple! One dress it is!

I picked the length, color and fabric and let them pick their own dress. This way they got what they liked best and in their price range. I used David's bridal bc although I only have 3 people they all live in different states.

I did the same color and length, the material I wasn't to concerned about since they're so close anyway. My sister (MOH) picked the length of the dresses, which was fine by me.

My sisters who are a bit older than me are just wearing whatever long, navy dress they feel comfortable in and for the bridesmaids i am going to pick a collection and let them pick which ever dress in that collection they like as long as it is long and navy and i would prefer chiffon. i just want them to feel comfortable.

I'm doing this to. I am picking the color according to when I am getting married and the length and I am having them pick the style on top. My girls are also different shapes and sizes so trying to fit them in the same style would not work. Lol. It really helps bring out my girls each unique personalities with also keeping a somewhat uniformed look

I'm doing this! I went to bridal reflections in carle place. They have so much! They actually recommended that I go first with just a couple of the girls. So I brought a couple and they tried on a bunch of stuff so I was able to choose the designer, color, and material I wanted. Oh and length too. Once I did that, I told all the girls what I chose and it was quick and easy from there cause all they had to do was go to the store and just chose the style they wanted. It technically is like a first come first serve. I told them that I didn't care if any of them chose the same style but I know they felt weird doing that. I have 8 bridesmaids, so it was very hard to get them all together to go at same time. So whoever went first kinda got first pick, but there were a ton of choices. I was a bridesmaid in my friends wedding and we picked our own styles but unfortunately there weren't many to choose from and I was the last one to go and I didn't like any that were left.Welcome New Vendors
