My uncle is in a relationship (about 4 yrs) with a man I have never met since they live in Idaho. Of course they are both invited to the wedding, but my parents think I should send seperate invites. I think they should be treated the same as any other couple and placed on the same invite.
Thoughts?

I invited multiple same-sex couples to the wedding and invited them with one invitation. On the envelope I wrote:
Mr. John Smith Mr. Jack Brown 123 Main Street, Town, NY 12345
This is what I am going to do.

i think you should send them one invite as a couple just like you would for a straight couple.
Yup...totally agree. They are a couple...plain and simple.

Re: Same Sex couple invite
I did one invite the same as any other unmarried couple.
The best though was on the response card, where it said M____________ he wrote:
Mrs. John Doe and Joe Schmoe
with a note saying 'This was supposed to be Misters. I swear!' Definitely my favorite response card!

Re: Same Sex couple invite
I agree with one invite both names on invite but one invite.
You should definitely include them both on one invite - address it as you would to a couple who is living together but not yet married...

We had several same sex couples invited to our wedding. Since they are a couple, you send one invitation to both of them.

Re: Same Sex couple invite
I would send them on one invitation. I would just put Mr. _____ & Mr. _____ on the envelope. Or you could do just your uncle & guest since you haven't met him yet.

Re: Same Sex couple invite
1 invite definitely.
I'm curious how you would put it on the invite though - I'm having a same sex couple at my wedding also - women.
Do you put
Ms. Smith and Ms. Jones (formal)
Or
Jane Smith and Veronica Jones. (less formal)
idk I was thinking about that the other day. what is appropriate for the envelope?
It prob doesn't even matter as long as they're both included.
