Sames Questions-Different Post
Just thought I'd say how funny it is how the same questions keep getting posted but in a different way LOL!

Re: Sames Questions-Different Post

Re: Sames Questions-Different Post
I find it helpful sometimes. Because other people may respond to a redundant post and mention something new or useful. Things are always changing. I tend to be a re-poster. I am guilty, I admit it. But each time I post a concern I get new feedback. So it does help me out. (Especially since I have no planning support besides all of you)

Re: Sames Questions-Different Post
I guess I'll be posting less & less here. How many times can I respond to:bachelor party
what is everyone using for their wedding song?
and
E-rings Insurance...etc (no offense to those who posted these questions, i am using them as an example)
I guess there are new people here all the time but for those of us that have been here, and keep posting the same stuff, it gets redundant.

jenn I can relate. But that is where YOU come in as I'm Addicted to help the rookies!
I don't know what I would do without your Aruba Book! (plus you cannot leave until I figure out who your stepmom is!)

Re: jennbaby
sometimes it gets redundant, but those who have been here longer can help the others....let's face it, we are all pretty much planning variations on the same wedding so we're all facing the same issues...

Re: jennbaby
well here is my wish to LIweddings---i wish that you would make categories like---photgraphy/video
dj/band
church/reception halls/ceremonies
favors/invitations
wedding gown/bm gowns/tuxes
accessories
etc.
just to name a few and then we could post directly under that board/category instead of reading through everything--you go to that category, click on it and read or post things right there--this way you know that each post in that category will have something to do w/the category title and not waste your time opening something only to find out that it has no interest to you---i hope i made sense--it's late and i'm tired!!!!1
edit--one more thing you would still have the option to look through everything (all categories)--but if you wanted something on a band--you would go directly to that category to find it-instead of searching through all posts, etc.

Re: jennbaby
oh! maybe it could be color coded....but at the same time I am afraid I would miss things because I would skip over them - maybe the search engine thingie could be done that way

Re: Sames Questions-Different Post
Jen I feel your pain, I understand. I stay on the newlywed side more now. I have lost my zest. Not for helping, just for answering the same questions. I do not answer the questions anymore. It does get redundant. I am working on making our side a little less boring, so I do not have to view the same questions here over and over again.
The search feature is wonderful

Re: Sames Questions-Different Post
I agree - to a certain extent. (I should really talk with my tipping question I just posted! LOL)Sometimes people should really use the search feature. Othertimes, there's a variation to the question, or it needs to be asked again, for whatever reason.
I always try and search first, and if I can't find any helpful info, then I post

Re: Sames Questions-Different Post
I think a poster should do a keyword search first and then if they don't find it, then they should ask. Put in a wide date range so you can get better/larger results.Take care all and happy plannig

Re: Sames Questions-Different Post
I agree. I am sure I am guilty of posting something that has been over done though. I just think of questions for me when I am up to that part of the planning...sometimes I get sooo excited or worked up I need to post to get an answer now. Love the search tool....I just forget to use it sometimes.Welcome New Vendors
