Hi ladies I need your assistance. I went for my final appointment with Flower Michele tonight and I need to know what you think about the colors I chose. Do you think this is too 'summery' for a fall wedding?

Re: Sample Centerpiece
You said you are having each girl with a different color rose...what are doing something like this, a choice color rose (instead of the white), and them some blue filler flowers, then the c-pieces pulls it all together.

Re: Sample Centerpiece
In my opinion, it is the pink that makes it look summery. I would keep the yellow and lavender and replace the pink maybe with orange/salmon/rust (something orangey).
Otherwise I like it.

Re: Sample Centerpiece
if you like the colors, that is all that matters !!! You know how many times I have heard that red is a winter color(I am using red and yellow). Yet, so many girls do red in the summer(which I will be doing as well). In the end think about, 'do I like these colors?' You don't want to pick colors that you don't really want just because they 'traditionally go' with the season. Pick what makes you happy and the decision will be very easy !!!
p.s. there is another bride on this board who is getting married in winter(december I think??) and she had a sample of her centerpiece on here and if I remember correctly, all of her colors were very pastel. I thought her centerpiece looked fabulous as well !!

I think the colors are very pretty; they do look more like summer colors - but what's most important is - it's your wedding! Use whatever colors make you happy!
I'm having a fall wedding with navy blue as my color too. I'm thinking of using burgundy/wine, soft pink, and off white roses as my flower colors.

Re: Sample Centerpiece
I wouldn't worry about what color is considered a summer color...I'm getting married in the dead of winter (Dec. 28th), and I chose pastel colors for my bridesmaids dresses and for my centerpiece: Here's a pic of mine: I picked those colors because I love them, so go with what you want, not what you think you should have.
I personally do not like the color combo..especially with navy bm dresses; just doesnt seem like it's going to come together well. (sorry - those colors remind me of easter eggs) You dont seem happy with it either.....follow your heart and keep looking for different color options. Do you really want to see those flowers in your photos years from now and think - 'I should've gone with different colors'....

Re: Sample Centerpiece
i saw your centerpiece yesterday when i went to meet john to finalize my centerpieces. it does seem easterlike to me but they were really pretty. i think you could do lavenders with ivory or champagne and perhaps have some blue fillers like posted above instead of all the green only. let us know what you decide on.

Re: Sample Centerpiece
That you all for your honesty. Originally I picked these colors because I didn't want centerpieces that were too fall or Halloweenish - I also picked the colors in the spring/summer so I guess I was in that state of mind. When I saw them together, and now that it is fall, I definitely changed my mind. I am meeting with John later on today. He suggested some great colors. Same centerpiece, same idea for the bridal party, but with more fall colors like black magic, rust, a butter colored rose with an orange center and a he also mentioned another two colored rose. I think this will be much better for a fall wedding.
