Any recs on a good hotel there? FH and I were about to book until we saw all the extra taxes and fees they want.

DEF stay @ the El San Juan, its one fo the nicer there and the service is great. people from san juan come there on weekends to party. i LOVED it there. thats where i got engaged!!

Love the El San Juan as well. And take a look at the El Conquistador too. Can you tell how much I love PR

we stayed at the paradisus in puerto rico - it's called something else though now.
it has gorgeous views of the rainforest over looking the pool - it was gorgeous!!!

its very nice and next to the Ritz! its not really honeymoon material though...

we staying at the Renaissance (owned by marriot) my uncle stayed there when he got married at 36 a few years and then made sure he got back there before he passed away because he loved it. It got better reviews then the marriot

We are trying to do 3 nights after our cruise but all the hotels are charging a mandatory 14% fee So every place for the 3 nights is well over $700. We were looking at the Conrad but this extra charge is pissing us off!

I think most hotels inthe area charge a resort fee. Try booking on Orbitz.

I'm getting married and we booked out honeymoon at El San Juan!!! I've been reading bad reviews, but it's the waldorf astoria. For those who have been there, please make me feel okay about this choice :)

I've stayed at the Intercontinental and Westin Rio Mar (but they are no longer a Westin) in the past. For the honeymoon we're staying at the Conrad. So modern and cool - ocean view room. I cannot wait!
PS - even though my wedding is in October we are actually honeymooning in April. 47 more days! !! Wooooohooooo!
