Hey, I need help from creative people! I'm looking to make a big card box for my wedding that is in the shape of a sand castle. I want to use either wood or cardboard of plastic, doesn't matter, but I need to put something on it to look like sand... Has anyone used or recommend any of the spray paints that come out like sand? TIA!!!

Re: sand??
Hey, You can definitely use a cardboard castle. Just lightly brush on glue (elmers would be fine) and sprinkle sand all over.

Re: sand??
I am making a sand castle envelope box as well! I spoke to an art teacher whosaid to use spray glue and fine sand. Using the spray glue will give the castle a smooth even coating of sand. She also said to use insulation foam the kind you spray from a can. This way you can sculpt it. She reccomended doing this outdoors, however, since it is toxic to breathe. So far I have purchased 3 wood cone-shaped bird housesf(unfinished) to make the spires at the top of the sand castle. To make the towers I will probably buy carboard tubing from somewhere like home depot and cut them down to varying heights. My FH and I havn't begun yet, but we are a bit overwhelmed and excited at the same time. Good Luck!
