Hi girls, I am a sandcastle Bride too... We are gettin married May 18, 2007. Ive been reading the post's about cakes & tastings. No need to worry , We went for a tasting I insisted on it . Typical Italian family & I was getting sick of hearing from my dad, what about the food.. So I pushed the whole tasting thing with my banquet manager & he said ok.. It was to die for . They gave us a sampling of everything nothing was bad.. Dont worry... : ..

As for their place cards, Im going with the votives too. I bought the paper from Michaels & its so so so ez to do. In my opinion its easier than the typical place cards as you have to write out each persons name on the cards as opposed to the votives its all done on the computer , just type & print.. Its really simple.

We have the skylight room too.. I think the main hall you had to guarantee 250 people, my god who the heck knows that many people,,

We are also going to the showcase as well on the 7th..

Indoor garden ?? whats the story with that ?I havent heard about it?

I just thought I'd add my two cents.

I just had my wedding there and all my guests loved it - i'm told the food was amazing and the cake was good - i was sick so i couldnt eat or taste anything but i'm assured it was wonderful!! I'm still getting calls from my guests telling me what a wonderful time they had. I had the Skylight room which was just beautiful and a full viennesse. My guests even sent me thank you cards for the wonderful party, especially b/c of the band Code Bleu from Skyline Orchestra - out of this world phenomena!!

Overall the day of Sandcastle threw a wonderful party. I was extremely worried about having my wedding there since they made the whole planning process miserable as most of you know from my previous posts. Also, two days before the wedding my BM threw a fit to my mother about my posts on here regarding the food and cake tasting which i thought was extremely unprofessional since they were the truth and she knew it and i didn't say anything nasty. Also, the full viennesse was supposed to be set up in a seperate room and the wall slides back to let the guests in to prevent disrupting the dance floor. That day though, one of the waitors came up to DH and I telling me the viennesse was being set up and he was going to take us inside the room for a tour before openig it up for the guests, as he's telling us this the other waitstaff cleared the dance floor and wheeled in the viennesse on carts instead. The guests loved it anyway but when it was cleared up (all this was done over an hour early) the guests thought it was over and alot left, we still had 45 minutes left. I found out later they did this because they booked a 7:00pm cocktail hour in my room and my viennesse was supposed to end at 6:30pm so they decided to setup the cocktail hour early in the other room.

My guests loved it though!! They had a wonderful event and the waitstaff was absolutely wonderful - if someone got up to dance they covered the food and coffee to keep it warm and refolded the napkins, my guests were so impressed!!

we had a wonderful wedding regardless of the planning process and enjoyed ourselves immensely!
