Anyone have pictures, or have done this? Did you decorate the bottles?

We are going to do the sand ceremony as well. Originally we were going to do the unity candle but when we heard the sand ceremony from our rev we loved it and decided to do it instead. We are also hopefully going to have our ceremony outside and this way we won't have to worry about the candle not lighting... He told us to go to Michaels and look for a nice vase or bottle with a cork SO the sand won't spill out afterwards. He also told us that those cruets used for oil & vinegar are good to use for each of our colored sands since it has a nozzle/spigot and the sand wouldn't spill. We haven't looked yet.

Wow! I really like those vases. I went to Michaels (before I saw those) and found these small heart-shaped bottles w/ corks. I did not like any of the bigger bottles that had corks, so I didn't buy the big one yet. I will try to find a pic online. They were only 99 cents...can't beat that. Even if I find bottles that I like better there really isn't any loss...and I could always return them.
What color sand is everyone using?

hi! we are still searching for bottles and pourers. i definitely want one with a cork. i think we are doing white and light pink sand. i love the idea of the sand ceremony, especially since we are having a ocean-type theme. ~lacey
