Can you ladies please tell me if sand ceremonies are allowed in churches or just if you are getting married at your hall?

Re: Sand Ceremony
if it's a Catholic Church, chances are VERY slim that it will be allowed. the Catholic Church's vows cover anything that you address with a sand ceremony. The Catholic Church uses vows that have been used for over a thousand years and a big part of being married in a Catholic Church is being married in front of the community in the eyes of the Church, so it only makese sense to use their vows.
I am sure there are some girls who had priests or deacons that allowed it, but it's rare.

Re: Sand Ceremony
I am pretty sure I want to get married in a catholic church, I would just like to use the sand instead of the unity candle, but I dont know if the church would allow it

Call your church. It can vary based on the church too.

thry may allow the merging of the sand (pouring it together) but not all the verbal exchanges some do during the sand ceremony.
some churches aren't even crazy about the unity candle this is a secular tradition that snuck it's way in. in no way os a unity candle, sand ceremony, a part of a Nuptial Mass. However, many priests are fine with the unity candle because the flame serves as a reminder of your baptismal candle and the light of Christ.
