Sandal's Antigua or Sandal's Bahamas -- Anyone been?
Has anyone been to either of these two resorts? We are thinking of them as a honeymoon spot and would love to hear any feedback! Thanks! Dee

Sandal`s Antigua or Sandal`s Bahamas -- Anyone been?
Me and my fiancee went to Sandals Antigua in Aug and we were very dissapointed. I havent been to any other sandals, so I cant say. We did go off season so I dont know if that had anything to do with it.

Hi Cindy, thanks for your response. If you don't mind, would you tell me what you did not like about it? Our wedding is in October, is that still the off season? Thanks for your help! :-) Dee

Well, it was off season, Aug. We did have a fun time and met a lot of nice couple. Our complaint was that they would only fill 1/4 of the restaurants and tell you the restaurant was booked and you couldnt eat there and you walk by and most of it was empty. In the piano bar, most of the time there was no bartender or piano player. We did make our own fun though. The disco was closed almost every night. We found a tremendous amount of bugs in the rooms and kept changing rooms. Dont get me wrong, we did have fun, but I wouldnt go back. We have been all over the carribean and it was our least favorite. Well, good luck. I hope this helps. I know sandals in bahamas is alot bigger. We ended up getting a free trip from complaining and might go there. Good luck in your plans!!!

You have to be very careful about the Caribbean in October…..It is still hurricane season. When we were planning out Honeymoon…we decided against Sandals because we are not big drinkers and to pay $9000 for food was totally not worth it Also with Antigua you can only get there by prop plane from Puerto Rico…We went to Aruba and loved it …I got an all inclusive and paid less than $4000 with airfare and all my meals.. Just something to think about…

I have been to aruba also. It was far better than Antigua. It was great. That plan from puerto rico was the worst to antigua. They even leave your luggage behind and dont tell you and you never know when you are going to get it.Welcome New Vendors
