Sandals Grande Ocho Rios Jamaica

was there any night life?
do you know at the sandals grande??
or outside of it and did you feel safe?

FH & I went there about 5 years ago on vacation.

We had a good time. Drank A LOT of rum punches; dirty banana's & Purple Rain. We did the snorkel excursion twice i think. It was pretty rough waters out there; but we enjoyed seeing all the fish. We had a basic room no ocean view or anything on the beach side. The hill side isn't near the beach and you have to take a bus across the property. You're not advised to cross the publis street to get to the other side so you should take their shuttle bus. I remember there being a dance contest one night but i was SO drunk that memory is a little blurry! I know FH won it though and we got a bottle of Appleton Rum!

They have a grill right near the beach with really great curly fries! Great late night snacks!

I remember the food at the restaurants were pretty good. There was one restaurant attached to the main building on the beach side-we had a nice outside table. and there was another restaurant in the main building on the beach side that was pretty good too. We did the Dunns River Tour while we were there through the resort; and that was fun.

We did the free photo shoot; and bought like 5 or 6 pictures-they came out pretty nice. Overall we really enjoyed our stay there. No complaints on the room; food; people. I'll be honest; i drank a lot there; so maybe things other people were bothered by i was too busy having a good time to realize! I remember one day at the swim up bar we all played a drinking game at the pool bar. Our days were spent that way mostly-relaxing & having drinks.
