sandals honeymoon ?

Hello ladies !

I know there have been lots of post about Sandals before and you have all been so helpful... but I have a few more questions. We e are going to St.Lucia in a few weeks

1. How many outfits did you really need ? I think we'll spend most of our time in swim suits.

2. How dressed up did you get for nights out ?

3. As honeymooners, we get breakfast in bed one morning but all food is included...do they charge for room service ?

4. Anything else you can suggest for fh & I ?

I brought about 4 or 5 sun dresses and regular clothes. I think I didnt wear one dress.

2. How dressed up did you get for nights out ?
About 5 out of the 8 nights I was dressed up (not too dressy) meaning I wasnt in casual shorts or t-shirts.

3. As honeymooners, we get breakfast in bed one morning but all food is included...do they charge for room service ? No room service fee at all. You can not even tip them.

4. Anything else you can suggest for fh & I ? Try to do at least one or two excursions. Also the night entertainment at the Grande is awesome.

One more question about dressing for the evening - so a nice halter shirt and a skirt or dressy shorts are good ?

1. Usually swim suits are for the day and you dress up at night. If you are doing tours bring shorts/capris/sneakers. Bring coverups for your swimsuit (have to wear them at the restaurants) and shirts for the guys.

2. I wore capris each night for dinner with nice tops. DH wore khaki shorts and polo shirts. Alot of women wore cute summer dresses too. Not fancy.

3. No they dont charge you for anything. The only time you laid out money was in the gift shop and casino night.

4. Sit back, relax and have a great time!!!

Which one are you staying at??

Yes you should be fine in those outfits. I also wore dressy shorts and a shirt with sandals one night. You will see everyone dresses in either Sun Dresses, Shorts and Cute shirts. Many guys wear Polos and button downs with shorts or Khakis. You wont feel uncomfortable with whatever you end up wearing.

1. I tried to wear a different sundress each day so our pictures wouldn't all look the same. I didn't wear pants at all except on the plane, and I had a mix of nicer dresses for some of the fancier dinners and very casual dresses which I wore over my bathingsuit.

2. Not sure what you consider 'out' but I dressed up the most for the french restaurant at the regency (la toc), the hibachi restaurant at the regency (kimonos) and the italian restaurant at the grande (toscaninis). nothing super fancy, but those places require guys to wear pants and a nice shirt so i dressed up accordingly. anything goes for the other places.

3. room service is only included (and even an option, as far as i know) if you are staying in a concierge level room or higher. in this case, it's free and unlimited with no tipping allowed. i dont think basic rooms can get room service at all aside from the honeymoon breakfast.

4. suggestions will depend on which resort you are staying at. make reservations for kimonos and la toc as soon as you get there, they book up incredibly fast. also, i really would recommend doing a candle lit dinner on the beach but book it before you leave -- the price goes up almost $100 if you book it there. finally, dont let them talk you into upgrading to a 'beach' location from a 'gazebo' location. the gazebo wasn't in a gazebo at all, it was right on the beach, inches from the water, and had a banana-leaf umbrella thing over you. no real difference from the 'upgraded ones' at all -- same set up.

bring more sunscreen than you think you will need, and remember your sunglasses! DH forgot his and the giftshop only sold womens.

FM me if you have other Qs

Edit: MAKE SURE YOUR FH BRINGS PANTS OR YOU CANT GO TO ANY OF THE NICER RESTAURANTS. the gift shop sells overpriced pants, but bring some! (some newlyweds didnt bring pants)

the lobby of the grande has free wireless internet which is much cheaper than buying a phone card. if you dont bring a laptop you can pay to use their computers in the tech center
