So I´ve hear that Montego Bay is one of the oldest Sandals and so their decor is a little dated. I understand that most (if not all) the other ones in Jamaica are better. BUT here´s my situation:
As you know we are from South America and also on a tight budget so for both of these reasons (having to get back home and not having $$) we will only be taking a very short honeymoon. Our wedding is friday night. Saturday morning we have breakfast with my fam and say goodbye to everyone and then fly out. And will be coming back Wednesday. (only 3 full days and 2 partial days!!) Montego Bay is only 15 minutes from the airport whereas the other ones are about 2 hours away in different directions. I feel like we are wasting more time traveling if we go farther away.
So I guess my question is . . . Is Montego Bay a bad option on its own, or only when compared to the other sandals? I don´t mind not having the best one so that we get more time to enjoy it but I also don´t want to be in one that sux.

Re: Sandals Montego Bay
check out Couples.com resorts. They have resorts in all areas for Jamaica, all-inclusive, couples only (no kids) and they are very affordable. You can book through their website and get a price for resort and airfare combined (this is how I booked last time FI and I went). We stayed at Couples Swept Away and it was the best/most relaxing vacay.

Re: Sandals Montego Bay
I was originally looking into this resort and wound up going with Whitehouse. Since I obviously haven't been there yet, I can only rely on what I've heard from others and what I've read... and after I booked with Whitehouse, I wound up hearing many more horrible things about Montego Bay so I'm really relieved I didn't go there. Just last week I was speaking with someone about it and he said that it was the worst vacation he had ever been on and that it's completely congested and so loud and noisy. I mean, everyone has opinions so you could go there and have the time of your life. I was just very skeptical because I heard more bad than good...
