Ok so I know for the dinners that require reservations my FH has to wear long pants but does anyone know about the shoe requirement? He's essentially packing sneakers (respectable not sloppy sneakers) and flip flops. He's feeling like he needs to go out and buy boat shoes or something for the dinners. Can he get away with sneakers? I know there's no way he'll agree to pack dress shoes lol Would the boat shoes be okay? (It's totally not his style but I think he'll wear them more as he gets comfortable wearing shoes with no socks)... ps men are so funny about certain things hahahaha

Sandals Question
Haha I just made FH buy a pair of Sperry's to take on our sandals honeymoon. He hates them but I think they'll grow on him and I though they looked better than a pair of Nike's. So in other words his nicest shoes he's bringing are boat shoes.

Ok this makes me giggle so much. At least I know my FH isn't alone in his Sperry's hatred. He feels like he'll look like an old man, which is when i remind him he's 30 so he is an old man hahahaha. Thanks Jaime Lin! That is a huge help

Sandals Question
I've stayed at the one in Ocho rios, Jamaica once.
Boat shoes or those soft bottom slip on loafer type shoes are fine.
they arent real strict with it...its just nice to look a little fab at night like everyone else but no one gets super dressy.
honestly they won't turn you away... unless you tried to come in like a swim suit or something lol

This makes me feel much better! So ill definitely have him get a nice pair of sperrys that way we dont have to worry. Boat shoes will be used again too so it's not a total waste

Sandals Question
My fh has a all black dc sneakers and travel agent said they should be ok bc they aren't like Nike sneakers. His dress shoes are doc marteen boots....not comfortable at a sandals resort any where lol
Edited to.add....I tried boat shoes but he wouldn't be caught dead in them. Not his style. If they r something your fh would wear it wouldn't hurt to have!

All my FH wears are his Black DC sneakers! HAHA! I personally think those should be fine because they look like clean respectable shoes. It helps to hear your travel agent said those are probably fine. I would just feel so bad if we had any problems so hopefully he'll jump on the boat shoe band wagon lol.
