Anyone go the Grande Ochos Rios? Scott and I were thinking of going there for our 1st Anniversary. I am still not sure about going to Jamica. We are a signatire guest member so we will get a discount of $518. With the discount it will cost about $3500 for Concierge service. Can anyone tell me if this is a good price for 7 nights?

I heard Ochos Rios is definitely more like 2-3 hours. It's an hour by helicopter from Montego Bay.

The travel agent said like 1.5 hours of a trip.....from the airport....Thats nuts if it is 3 hours

we got stuck behind a lot of slow people and lots of construction, so it took about 3 going there. 2 1/2 going back to airport. They told us it would be 1 1/2 to 2 hours, but it wasn't!!!

we were told the same thing. They lie! LOL You should see if anyone has gone there recently. See if they finished the roads, THEN I could see it being 1.5 hours.

they had the same thing in St Lucia...you would see goats and cows tied up on a corner......It was wierd

Ugh I really don't think you want Montego Bay. It's where you fly into--very urban, and congested, and the water isn't as nice since it is the bay not the ocean. I've heard Negril has the best beaches (I loved them, but haven't seen Ocho Rios to compare), but Ocho Rios is right near the beautiful waterfalls....
