Sandals resorts....

Hi all

Untill now ive just been reading, but I think im going crazy on where to go for our HM. Sandals looks so amazing and romantic, but is it commercial. Does it truely look like it does in all their commercials. I love the in water lounge chairs and those little beds on the beach for two with the sheer curtains flying, but is that how it really is there??

I need help we are also looking into the maya riviera Mexico. Im so confused......
Help, thanks

Re: Sandals resorts....

i have booked sandals st lucia grande, and with all the reviews (on here and tripadviser and through people) it looks and sounds amazing.

I have been to sandals Bahamas and Jamaica and they are both beautiful and look like on the commerical. Dont get me wrong it depends on the room category you choice, but when we went for vacation a couple years back we stayed in standard room and it was really nice. for hm we are staying in a suite.

FM if you need more info

I have been to Ocho Rios Sandals on vacation and my honeymoon at Sandals in Bahamas. They both look just like the pictures. My favorite was Bahamas. Its a short non stop flight and the resort is close to the airport. You are on the beach in about 1 hour after landing. My brother went to St Lucia and also loved it. I have been to many different all inclusive reports and Sandals is top notch. They really do cater to you on your honeymoon!

i did not like the royal bahamian....i thought it looked way nicer on tv and in pics than it actually did in person...and i was just not impressed with anything for the price i paid..

I haven't been to sandals but highly recommend checking out tripadvisor.com - they have 'candid traveler pics' and real reviews which helped me narrow down and choose my hm and other vacations as well.

i absolutely loved loved LOOVED the Regency in St. Lucia...the newest (just underwent renovations & contruction) & the largest - the most restaurants (7) - the most variety of things to do. just loved it. FM me if u'd like additional info on it there's nothing like an all-inclusive - u just eat & drink as much as u want and there's just a bunch of stuff to do... at dinner if i couldn't decide between two entrees, they brought me both!

KRISTYRUSSELL SAYS:
I AGREE WITH THE ABOVE POST WITH A FEW EXCEPTIONS: We loved St Luca the Regency, we splurged on a two level villa in the buff's overlooking the water with our own butler and plunge pool for our honeymoon in June of 07, it was the most unique and beautiful resort I have ever seen to date, but the food we give a big thumbs down to, too much exotic, odd, strange foods. Not enough steak, chicken, shrimp, lobster or hamburgers for that matter. My husband hated all the food and I thought it was pretty bad. He lost like 8 lbs on our honeymoon. The Japanese Restaurant (Hibachi Grill) was one of the best places and fun places to eat, we had so much fun with all the other couples - For the money we paid we should have been able to have what ever we wanted, very very expensive, but again the room category will be your deciding factor in the money you spend. And the drinks were not that great either, but it was so much fun and lots to do, we will go back again someday. The resort views and service are tops, by Regency is by far the prettiest place in St. Lucia.
Best of luck.

I went to Sandals Grand Bahamian a couple years ago ...it was all honey mooners. The food was surprisingly good as was service.

Yes Sandals are commerical..but I think for the price it is nice..some other non commericals are way more money....it is also great bc it is all adults and romantic

friends have been to st. lucian and Jamaican and loved both
