Sandals St. Lucia Golf Resort and Spa

Ok, so the wedding is in three weeks (YIKES!) and then its on to the HONEYMOON (this has been my favorite part of all the planning!) Anyone here ever been to Sandals St. Lucia - or just to St. Lucia for that matter? Wondering what is fun to do, see etc. Any feedback on the resort itself? Any help would be much appreciated

Sorry, never been, but my girlfriend went there for her HM in 2000, and LOVED it. She says she couldn't have imagined a better HM.
And St. Lucia is suppossed to be absolutely beautiful !!!

Don't worry, you're sure to get Royal Treatment at Sandals !!!!!! Enjoy every minute

Re: Sandals St. Lucia Golf Resort and Spa

I went there, and we had a BLAST!!!!!There are always activities going on...such as pool olypmpics, beer drinking contest, etc.
I recommend making reseravtions at the Japanese Rest. Komonos, as well as the French, and the Italian...YUM!!!
The excursions we did, were the booze cruise. They take you out on a catamaran at night, and you go up and down the coats of the island. It is PRETTY!!!! You drink, eat, and dance all night.
We also too the horseback riding. You ride down to the beach with the horse, and have a BBQ on the beach. Then they took the saddles of the horse, and you ride on the horse in the ocean. REALLY COOL!!!
The Soufrie Day Sail was the BEST!!!! They take you on a catamarn ride and then you stop and do some snorkeling. Then you go and walk through the rainforst, and see a nice waterfall, then you walk up to the volcano. Beware it smells like rotten eggs, from the sulfer. Thn ethey take you to a restauarant and have lunch, where you have an amazing view of the Pitons(mountains).
Then you take the sail ride back to the resort.
All I have to say is that the people there are so very nice. Hubby and I went into town and did some shopping, and felt so SAFE!!!! They were all so nice. We have been places in the Caribbean before, and have had bad experiences.
Hope you have fun!!!!! It you have any more questions, please feel free to mail me. We cant wait to go back

One other thing. HIGHLY recommend getting a couples massage!!!!!

Re: Sandals St. Lucia Golf Resort and Spa

Thanks sooo much for your responses ladies! You have no idea how badly we need this Honeymoon! On top of planning the wedding, my mother has been seriously ill - so its been one roller coaster ride after another. We desperately need to just get away and have a good time before we both collapse - Diane, the couples massage sounds like the way to go! Thanks for all the great ideas!

Re: Sandals St. Lucia Golf Resort and Spa

Totally agree with Diane - the couples massage was worth every penny! We were just there in July and it was incredible. Never had such a great time. Everything is fun and it's kind of cool because EVERYONE is on their honeymoon and you can talk as much as you want about your wedding without people rolling their eyes at you it was an amazing honeymoon! would do it over again in a heartbeat!
