Hey there. I booked the Sandcastle for September 2008. I am having my ceremony there as well... Has anyone ever been to a wedding there before? I want to try to make it as perfect as possible.

Hi,
Congratulations on your engagement and upcoming wedding. I also booked with Sandcastle for my upcoming wedding. I have not attended a wedding there but I was fortunate to taste their food and it was to my liking. What room are you using? I am having my reception at the skylight room. Also are you dealing with TOM! He is great!
Once again Congrats!

Hey thanks. Congrats to you too. I also booked the skylight right. If it rains though our ceremony will be in the larger room. Tom was there when I booked, but Mohammed is our MD. I havent had the opp to taste the food. Thats great that you liked it. I guess I'll experience it at the engagement dinner. Have you booked anything through any of their in house vendors?

Re: Sandcastle
I haven't booked anything else as of yet. I don't have to worry about dj, photography, and videography as my FH has taken care of that. However, I have my first florist appointment with Signature flowers in Bellmore on Saturday. I really look forward to that. Did you manage to get them to throw in all those little extras for you? Also, did you take the vacation to Greece?
I am so excited there are not too many '08 Sandcastle brides here!

Re: Sandcastle
Honestly, we had my sister do the negotiating for us bc we're just so excited to get married we would probably have agreed to anything. We didnt taken them on the Greece offer. The flight is too long for us ...lol. Im not sure if we got a good deal or not, I just went to two other places and the prices they were asking were insane. We got the platinum package with the vianese and all the linens and the slik flowers and ice sculpture and the smoke machine for the entrance and stuff. We added the shrimp boats to the cocktail as well. i dont really remember what else they threw in. I may get back to you on that after i checkthe contract. What did they throw in for you guys? Oh and they arent charging us for the ceremony itself.

Re: Sandcastle
I went to a wedding at Sandcastle last year and it was amazing. The outside ceremony was so pretty and the cocktail room was huge and the reception room was also very large and really nice. the food was really good too. Congrats, I'm sure it will be wonderful!

Re: Sandcastle
HEY TREESH37...
ABOUT THE SAME HERE BUT WE DID NOT ADD THE SHRIMP BOAT. MY FH AND I ARE STRONGLY THINKING ABOUT ADDING THE FULL VIENNESE TABLE BUT THEY ARE OFFERING SO MUCH FOOD THAT WE ARE THINKING THAT THAT MAY BE A FEW EXTRA DOLLARS THAT WE CAN SPEND ELSEWHERE. OH, I ALMOST FORGOT, TOM DID THROW IN A NIGHT AT A HOTEL SINCE WE ARE GOING TO OUR HONEYMOON THE FOLLOWING MORNING.

Re: Sandcastle
Floral Terrace wasn't charging us for our ceremony there either, but we decided on a church ceremony anyway

Re: Sandcastle
Hey Sandy
Im not sure how much extra it is for the vianese bc i didnt get a quote without it it. I knew going in that i wanted that, so i cant tell you whether its worth the extra money. But if you do have guests staying at a hotel or a big family, they do give you al lthe leftover meals and all the leftover vienese to take home... so it definitely wont go to waste. thats awesome that they threw in the wedding night hotel. I never even thought of that. Tom is the man. Do you get to pick the hotel? I was calling some today to get prices and damn everything adds up! I'm working on a princess type theme...

I'm not a Sand Castle bride but was the Maid of Honor a few years ago and it was awesome. Reception was in the skylight room and ceremony was in the larger room. The place is beautiful and the food was great.
