anyone have prices for the above, for a friday night in 2011 (spring/summer/fall)
do they all have outdoor/indoor cocktail hour?
and what ceremony options do they have?
their sites dont have too much info

anyone have thoughts on these places?

thanks so much in advance, you girls have all been so helpful, without this site i'd be pulling my hair out!

if you think you can hold out until after April 23rd I can give you a review on the Sandcastle. Our friend's are getting married there.

I can ask my friend how much she is paying per head for her Friday Night April wedding and get back to you.

I don't have prices, but I have been to Carltun and Carlye on the Green for dinner several times. Both places have excellent food and service in their restaurants. I personally thought the food at the Carltun was a bit better, but that is more a matter of taste.
In terms of looks, both places are very beautiful, elegant and well-kept. I really don't think you could go wrong at either place. Take a look at my album 'RH's I've visited for photos of each.
Good luck !

I'm a Carlyle Bride!!!! It's just me and one other girl on here getting married there.

I can't help you out with prices but I can with the other things.

They do have a outdoor cocktail hour. It's on a new patio they built last year. It has built in bars and a brand new gazebo. All this overlooks the golf course. As for ceremony you can have it outside by the gazebo or inside in a seperate room w/a fireplace.
I have pics in my album. Also find ElyseMichelle. She might have more pics in her album. she got married there this past July.

My sister got married at the Sandcastle ! The service was amazing and they really worked with all of her requests! Her wedding was a bit crazy with all the traditions combined ! It was a little bit over 150 a place I believe but she also had to have it catered in!

The Royalton! Ah.. we were on the verge of signing the contract when my fiance decided to go with something ' we already know of'. It is stunning and i only hear great things about that place. I love that you can stay over night and they have that cute little farewell table. Tough choice!

Good Luck!

I guess, we will just have to go and see!

Trying not to go over $150pp

I like that Carlyle has a separate indoor area for ceremony

Sandcastle looks beautiful on their site

and yesss Royalton is amazing- it might be hard to find something that compares! if not, royalton it is!

I went to a wedding at Giorgios in 2005 and it was very nice and the food was good.

Are you talking about Carltun by Eisenhower Park? Because that place is quite expensive and will most likely be well over $150 per person.

I used to work at Carlyle. such an awesome place. beautiful weddings. love the outdoor CH. very pretty inside place to get married if you need that, but alos nice outside areas. Beautiful and elegant place! great food too. mmmm amazing ch

Sandcastle was not mine or FH's taste at all. Didnt like the outside look to it. It's one wedding at a time. Things we did like: nice lounge area before CH for guest. Big, flat screen tvs, and nice feel and look. CH was nice and had a little outdoor area (no view though which we wanted), HUGE dancefloor, cool lighting in the ballroom

Re: Sandcastle, Carltun, Carlyle & Giorgios

We just canceled our appointment for Saturday morning at Carlyle on the Green in Bethpage Park. While its BEAUTIFUL it does have a 200 person minimum for May/June on Saturday night. I would imagine a little less for Friday.

I heard Carltun is also beautiful but with a beautiful price to match (ie EXPENSIVE).

We saw the Royalton and while we are leaning towards more of a 'mansion' like feel and felt the Royalton is a clubhouse of sorts it is where you will get the best bang for your buck. Everything is included in their price! Napkins, vendor meals and so much more. And they are much more willing to work with price if you do a Friday or Sunday. I will say though that they were booking and fast for May/June. Many dates were already taken.

As a side note and I know everyone is entitled to their own opinion my friend went to her cousin's wedding there this past weekend and said food was 'average.' EEK! That sent shivers down my Italian spine. It could have just been an off night but food is SUPER important to us. So it wasnt so great to hear it. But all in all a beautiful ballroom. A drawback for me was that it didnt have lots of places for photos like some other places do built in to their venues. And while we found the rooms upstairs gorgeous how much would we really be using them? For us not getting married on site it was a nice feature but not much more than that. Lots of greenery and the staircase is beautiful for photos but I didnt see much more for them.

Sorry to go on and on! I may end up at the Royalton for the 'bang for your buck' situation but there were some drawbacks for us. GOOD LUCK! We seem to have the same taste - I love it! Tee hee!

I'm a bit late in responding so you may have already made a decision, but just in case:

I visited the Royalton and we seriously considered it. Our main issue was just that we thought the room was a tight fit for our 200 guests. They do outdoor weddings and they also have a tent if you want -- but I've read about cost misunderstandings with that so make sure to figure that out upfront.

I then visited the Carlyle and was wowed. It's in the same price range as Royalton. If you can do your wedding before Easter you can def get a price under $150 for a Friday night. After that time period I don't think so.

I'm not sure you can really go wrong with either :)

I'm a Carltun bride and my mother works there. It's a beautiful place and they really put together an amazing affair. I'm not just being partial because of our affiliation with it. In fact our affiliation is because it is so magnificent. Call them up and see about a Sunday afternoon wedding.
