Sangria Recipe for MichelleW

SANGRIA recipe for MichelleW and anyone else..

1 Magnum (big bottle) of red wine (I usually use burgundy or cabernet)
1/4 cup of Grand Marnier
1/2 cup of OJ
1 tbs of sugar
10 grapes sliced in half
1 lemon sliced into rings
1 orange sliced into rings
1 green apple cubed
6 strawberries quartered

Mix sugar, wine, OJ & grand marnier in a large picture and stir until sugar is dissolved.

Add all the fruits except for the strawberries and let sit in the fridge overnight.

When ready to serve add strawberries, 1 cup of Seltzer and ice cubes...

White Sangria:

1 Magnum of White Wine
1/4- 1/3 cup of peach schnappes
10 grapes sliced in half
2 peaches quartered
1 lemon sliced

Mix everything in pitcher- let sit in fridge overnight- and refresh with 1 cup of seltzer when ready to serve....

They are both REALLY great- I make them every time I have a party.. FYI- for some reason the red goes faster- so I usually make 2 pitchers of red & 1 of white :)
