So we are looking at the contract now & there are a lot of things wrong with it- mostly the lack of cancellation policy-- and i just happened to look them up on the Better Business Bureau and they have an 'unsatisfactory rating'-- someone complained about a contract issue and they neglected to respond..

am getting nervous now about having it there!

I wouldn't worry about it. I just had to check and there was a complaint against the East Wind too.

Don't be nervous! I'm sure it's fine. Every hall is bound to have some complaints from people. If you have some concerns, just talk to you BM.

Fellow SS Bride here!! please, don't worry so much - because I have my wedding there in a month and it'll just add to my stress. jk

I just looked at my contract, and there is a cancelation policy there - true, you have to decypher it, but it's there. Basically if you cancel, you don't get your deposit back.

I agree with the others, ALL venues are going to get some bad reviews and complaints, so I don't go by the BBB. I've heard great things about the service at SS, I know people that have attended parties and weddings there and said it is fantastic - and so far I haven't had any problems. Knock on wood.......4 more weeks to go!
