Sash question

Sash question

I got a ribbon yesterday I'm using as a sash. For you girls wearing one or know how, how do you tie it in the back or should it be sown into the dress? I am also incorporating a pearl and rhinestone broach.

I am also using a sash, whom ever you do fittings with should sew it in to your dress. I am also attaching a crystal brooch to the front of a sash.

sounds beautiful! are you putting the sash thought the back of the broach or wrapping it around the sides?

LOL, my seamstress is my grandma with the help of mom!! They're the best. We were trying a veil yesterday and my niece was crawling around in my dress, so cute!!

Going to cross the sash in the front and pin the brooch to the center. I also plan on putting some of the lace from my dress to the tails of the sash.

You are so lucky to have such generous and talented women in your life! I would be so scared to let my mom at my dress!

What kind of veil do you have? Will your sash tails be above or below the bottom of your veil?

sorry, went toa bbq and pigged out all day so i'm just getting back to you right now (instead of doing my work due tomorrow morning ) I didn't want the tails showing so that's why i was wondering what ppl usually do. I still haven't picked a veil but i'm going to the city on thurs with my sister to see if we can find anything at the lace shops.

I'll post a pic of what i wanted to do. i guess i'm going to have to sew it on.

If you're in NYC looking for a veil, you should check out bridal veil falls in the east village. I sent two brides there (espo22 and snwb08) and they both had positive experiences.

She is making my veil from custom embroidered material from the Philippines!! She was freaking out when she saw the material and actually asked to buy the extra from me!!!

Anyway, she is fantastic (her name is margaret) google bridal veil falls NYC and you'll find the site.

Also, I think you should sew in little 'loops' for your sash so that it stays in place....

Good luck!

Great ideas. i'll def try to get to the place you suggested.

My mom/g-ma are making the veil, but i just need to pick the model. i have the tulle but i need the lace so i'm going to hit up sposa bella after i pick the one i'd like.

BTW, great idea about the loops. we didn't think of that.
