I do not like the idea of Carrie going to Paris. I am not a big fan of this relationship. I agree with the others that she is so settling, because she does not want to be alone. This guy is very controlling and there seems to be no compromise in this relationship.
I completely agree. I do not like this Alexander guy AT ALL.

Call me selfish, but I think Carrie is in the best situation ever! I would love to quit my job and spend time in Paris with a rich man. I also don't sympathize with Miranda because one of my friends hated my FI in the beginning and it almost ruined our friendship.

I know we are in the minority....but I totally agree.... I think Carrie is a big girl who should be allowed to make her own decisions...GET OVER IT MIRANDA!!!!
So what happens if she goes and they break up? No biggie, she comes back...Geez!
I'd rather say, 'I did it, tried it out and it didn't work' than say 'I was too scared and didn't even try'....

I figure as long as the person is happy, then what's the big deal? If Carrie is making a mistake then Miranda should let her find out for herself. You can't control everything a person does. Carrie obviously doesn't want any more opinions, so just be happy for her!

yeah, but it is all carrie giving things up than alexander! why can't they compromise? relationships are about compromise? he isn't compromising! he did give her an ultimatum and that isn't fair. he has no intention of getting married or having another child and these are things that carrie wants and once again, she is giving up what she wants for a man! that is bull $#!t!

I think Miranda was dead on. He made no effort to join in the fun, he was totally arrogant and Carrie was NOT herself, and is never herself, around him.
What is Carrie thinking??? She is going to go and start a life in Paris until he decides he is done with Paris and wants to go somewhere else. I hate that she is even willing to give up her life and her career for him.

i hope this isn't a spoiler - i think you guys know this - but chris noth was interviewed in parade magazine two sundays ago and he said he was in the final episode.
i like the idea of carrie going to paris. i think it is a new chapter in her life, and if it doesn't work out - SHE CAN COME BACK!!!! for her not to go - i think she would be missing out on something that could be incredible.
i didn't like the russian at first, but he is definitely starting to grow on me. he is much better when it is just the two of them - and honestly, isn't most of life - just the two of you????? life is all about the quiet moments together, not the big splashy parties.
