I thought it was the first depressing episode..As much as i loved it edited... a thought...i hate the fact that Carrie is compromising everything for this dude...I really hate when females do this because the are scared they will be alone.

I didn't see it as she's going with him to not be lonely. More like starting a new adventure, that her chapter in NY is winding down and she wants to open up a new one with him.
I don't think the writers are going to have her end up with Alex at the end of the season, but I wouldn't be upset if they did..I like him. I just think that they'll put a twist in there somewhere.
Is Aidan married now?

I did think she was settling especially since
1. she got the ultimatium to go to paris and the fact that he does not want a family
2. She was the one who barked at Charlotte when she quit her job for her man...
edited ...she made up her mind after seeing that pathetic chick...and to me she got scared of becoming like that...and that she wasn't moving there so much to start a new chapter.

The things she said to her friends about what a great opportunity it was made it sound to me that she was trying to convince herself just as much as them. She doesn't want to leave NY permanently but she doesn't want to be alone.

i think miranda has got a big point! carrie is going on a new adventure, and that does sound exciting, but there is something fishy about alesandre and he wigs me out. she is giving up her world for him and he isn't giving up anything for her. it sounds like the kind of life they would have together would be an isolated one. samantha kicks a$$ and i loooove that smith is so good to her. and charlotte is going to be such a good grandma to those puppies! i'm gonna miss this show.

This was the first episode that brought tears to my eyes I thought the whole Miranda-Carrie thing was very touching considering they are Best Friends.

I'm not sure how I feel.... It's a fitting way to end the 'chapters' but so much will be left unanswered if she goes...

I think Carrie is settling...but I honestly don't care...her character has been quite annoying and hypocritical...

I don't think she'll wind up going to Paris. And if she goes I think she'll be back before the last episode.
I don't like her with this guy. She's not Carrie. She needs to be with someone else or they should end it with her being alone.

OK, spoiler --- yes, I read that she meets Big in Paris who is there on atrip having to do with his vineyard and also Alexandre's ex (mother of his daughter)
This was I thought one of the best episodes I've seen from SATC in awhile.

yes, you are right.
I do not like the idea of Carrie going to Paris. I am not a big fan of this relationship. I agree with the others that she is so settling, because she does not want to be alone. This guy is very controlling and there seems to be no compromise in this relationship.
