Are you having a traditional wedding? ARe you wearing a traditional style dress, color? Are you not seeing your FH until the ceremony?
I think we both decided we would keep some traditions but we really did our own thing with many parts of the wedding. We are taking pictures before the ceremony and spending the night before the wedding together. I also plan on wearing gold shoes instead of the traditional white and the BM dress is anything but traditional. We are not getting married in a church which in our cultures is very non traditional. Both sets of parents have issues with what we are doing but we have been together 9 years and both have children so we figured we would do what made us happy.

We are mostly traditional. We are getting married in a church, we are not spending the night before together, i will not be seeing him before wedding. I didn't get a dress yet, so as far as my dress, it will be traditional but not sure about the shoes.

We are keeping some things traditional. A lot of them are just because FH likes some of the little traditions. We are not seeing each other before the ceremony, which does make things difficult because we are getting married at the RH. But we are taking non-traditional 'day-after' photos. I wasn't planning on wearing a veil, but FH almost got teary eyed when he was talking about being able to lift my veil, so there's another traditional thing. I will be wearing white shoes for the ceremony, but for the reception I will change into pink shoes. I think it's a good mix.

Traditional here. Married in a church, no seeing each other before hand. I'm leaning toward a traditional dress, i know it won't be wild and crazy.

Definitely having a traditional wedding. Getting married in a church, not spending the not before together and not seeing each other until the ceremony. I haven't started dress shopping yet, but I definitely want a traditional style. As for my shoes, I might mix it up and do hot pink or something.

Yea we are def sticking to the traditional stuff - dress, not seeing him before the ceremony, getting married in a church, and some of the other traditions you do at the reception.
We are adding a couple things here and there to make it 'us' but its basically traditional.

Very traditional- no night before, we are seeing each other for the first time at church, and the dress is fairly traditional. The shoes will not be white- silver or red.

Tradition here! We're not seeing each other before the wedding. I'm having a traditional dress. The only thing that's not so traditional is that we're getting married on site, and not at a church.

Traditional here too! Getting married in a church, not spending the night before together, not seeing each other before the wedding, and I am leaning towards a traditional dress as well.

We are doing a very traditional wedding, white dress and not seeing each other before the ceremony, I did however want to wear different color shoes (maybe match the BM dresses) and my mom freaked out when I said that...so now im not sure it just seems like such a small and stupid thing to get her upset over.

a mix...we are getting married at the RH but we are not going to see each other before hand, which I know time-wise is a crunch but we will manage. I am going to wear a veil, but I am looking into wearing silver or hot pink shoes.

Re: Saturdat QOTD: 2/26
mostly traditional
we are getting married in a church, i will be wearing a traditional gown most likely in white, with white shoes, FH will know nothing about the dress, we will not see eachother b4 the wedding, FH will be staying with his parents the night b4, my dad will be walking me down the aisle, my brother will walk my mom in, tradtional 1st dance, father daughter dance, mother son dance, traditional cut the cake....
BM will be wearing tea-lenght which i guess is nontraditional
the one thing we are playing with is the garter/boK toss....

We are doing things pretty traditional. We are not seeing each other the night before the wedding (except for at the rehearsal). We will be getting married in a church with a mass. Then we will take pictures and go to the RH. I haven't gone dress shopping yet, but I'm pretty sure it will be a traditional dress with white shoes. My BMs are going to be BM dresses. So yea, I guess we are pretty traditional.

Getting married at a church Not seeing each other before Spending the night before seperate Wearing a traditional dress
Other than that we are not traditional Not seating people on the bride or groom side. We want people to mingle and always found it strange anyway
I'm wearing colored shoes (if I find them), not doing a garter toss (though he is removing it, just not with everyone in the room)
No Bok toss at the RH if I do it I will be doing it in front of the church
That's all I can think of now

I think we're going to keep some traditional aspects, but not all.
We're not spending the night before together, but we might see each other before the ceremony for pictures. We most likely will not to the Bo-K toss nor the garter toss because I don't want to single out anything.
I think that's it for now...

us too! our gm are wearing tan suits and we are getting married at the RH. we are doing pics before, so we will see each other. Im wearing flip flops and not fancy shoes, we are doing classic rock for the ceremony instead of traditional music...I guess we are really not doing anything traditional at all except for having this wedding.

we're pretty traditional people and our wedding will be traditional as well. We're getting married at the church, will not see each other beforehand, I will probably wear a traditional style dress. Not sure about my shoes yet and I'm also thinking about getting ready in a hotel and not my parents house, but not sure....most things will be traditional tho
