Did FH pick your E ring all on his own, or did you pick it out, orrr did you drop hints of what you wanted? Also- for your wedding ring- did you pick it out yet? what do you want it to look like?
I totally dropped hints of what I wanted- we went in September of last year to look- & I actually found the setting (that I wound up getting!) that I loveee!- it was just a matter of FH getting the diamond-I absolutely love my ring- it is perfect. For my wedding ring- I think I just want a simple band that matches the little diamond that go down the sides of my E ring

Ha! I love this question. We went to the jewelry store once and he kept asking me my thoughts on random rings. So I mentioned some things I liked, and some things I didn't like. Soooo I guess he got some hints then! He did go to the store and picked it out on his own though!
We didn't pick out wedding bands yet.

FH brought my sister and met my mom at the store and they picked out a few and then FH picked my ring. I did not want to be involved

We went shopping together and I picked out the setting then I had to wait for him to get the diamond.
My wedding ring is being designed to match the band of my e-ring
FH knew the details that I wanted and told them to the jeweler and had it designed. I didn't know when this happened, though.

I knew FH had a ring that belonged to his grandmother but I had no idea what it looked like. I was really nervous becasue I am very picky when it comes to these sorts of things. But when I saw it I absolutely loved it. it is classic but also, surprisingly, looks a little bit modern.

I only told FH that I wanted a round diamond. He did everything else on his own (and I must say, he did an awesome job)!! As for the wedding ring, I think I want an eternity band that matches the band on my e-ring. We haven't gone for wedding bands yet though.

I had told him I wanted princess cut with diamonds in the band and they all had to look square bc im super crazy with symmetry. He had already gone to pick out the center stone ( i obv did not know this) and then I found a setting I liked for an example and emailed it to him 'in case he needed an idea' and he printed it out and brought it to the guy and was like ok a band like this please and then he matched it to a similar setting.
We didnt look at bands but Im going to get one that matches the diamonds on my setting. THe jeweler said he had a matching band already.

FH picked my ring out all by himself. I had no idea he was buying it and we never discussed what I liked or didn't. I must say, he has better taste than me cause I wouldn't have done as well had I picked it myself. I'm having a hard time finding a band to compliment it so I may go the custom route.

well the ring he proposed with was picked out by him. he told me it was to hold the place till we picked out the real one.
we went looking together and found one that we loved in his price range. the wedding band is matching. his wedding band is just plain white gold

I sent pictures to my two best friends and the forwarded them to FH. Since my mom offered my grandmother's ring he took her with him to find a setting for my grandmother's stone.

I completely picked out my ring. FH believed that if I'm wearing this ring for the rest of my life, I should make sure that I love it.
Haven't looked at wedding bands but am thinking eternity band that's the same thickness of my engagement ring.

I told FH what kind of setting I wanted and he did all the rest. I love my ering!! Its everything that I wanted it to be. My ering came as a set, so FH already has my wedding band. It matches the ering and they look great together!

I picked out my ering a long time ago. He couldn't afford it then. When he was able to I went with him otherwise he would have got the wrong one. I already bought my wedding ring. I didn't know what I was looking for so I just picked out whatever matched my e-ring.

He picked it out 100% on his own! I had absolutely no idea what I even wanted, so I didn't drop many hints. He tried to get his sister to find out for him but ended up telling him he was on his own. He picked out the most amazing and perfect ring for me. Couldn't be happier!
We haven't picked out our wedding bands yet..we'll shop at the same place he bought my ring, so I know the set will be great.

I picked out the entire ring including specific stone. FH had no idea what I wanted and didnt want me to send him with pictures. While we were there (over 3 hrs), he went next door to Panera for coffee... or so I thought. 15 mins later he returns with a bag from Sports Authority, and had gotten new golf shoes!
LOL
As for my wedding band, I think I found the one, but am going to browse a bit more since I have plenty of time. I love diamonds!

I have never wanted a diamond- my heart has always been set on a sapphire with diamonds on either side. As a joke last year for my bday I sent FH an email with the ring I feel in love with in case he needed any ideas lol. Well the smart man he is he saved the email for almost a year even though I totally forgot about it and bought me that same exact ring. I love it- it is totally me & the fact he thought about it for that long makes it all the more special to me.
We haven't looked at wedding bands yet I think I may have the same company who made my ering make my wedding band.

FH had no clue about diamonds or jewelry shopping. So when we started talking about getting engaged he asked me What would be your dream ring??? I said 'The Tiffany Embrace!!!' so he suggested we go to tiffanys for me to try on some rings so I can see how it looked on my finger. The moment I put that ring on my finger i fell in love!!! We left & we both agreed the ring was amazing. I told him he didnt have to spend soo much on my ring. We could look at other jewelry stores & find a similar ring. He was like no lets go home. For almost a whole year FH worked super hard & got me my dream ring. He said he knew that was my dream ring & wanted to give me it. I couldnt stop staring at it for awhile after he proposed :)

FH was in Med School in Grenada when we were talking about getting engaged and he used to e-mail me pictures of rings he liked for me and I loved one that is similar to what I have, but he did all the work on his own.
My wedding band will match the band of my E-ring. I have channel set princess stones and so my wedding band will be all channel set princess cut stones.
