Hi, I am new to the boards. I was wondering if anyone is getting married the saturday after thanksgiving? I was thinking of getting married that day in 2009. The only thing holding me back is that its a holiday weekend. I keep telling myself that it is not a huge travel holiday so people won't mind as much. For the girls who are getting married that day, have you had good responses? For those who are not, would you mind going to a wedding that Saturday? Please be honest with your opinions! I am confused as what to do. Thank you so much!!

i have alot of family traveling to my wedding so i figured a holiday weekend would be nice.. we are doing our rehersal dinner the night before thanksgiving... then our wedding party and family will have thanksgiving to do what they want.. friday to just hang and then the wedding is saturday
my family is actually excited bc they dont usually spend thanksgiving together and they will be next year. just go for it if you want.. i would send out save the dates well in advance though
