Saturday I was SHOWERED WITH HAPPINESS!!!!!!!
I was totally fooled by my beautiful mom, FH, and my wonderful BP!!! I thought I was going to a surprise b-day party for my aunt (even got a card and wrote out a check! ![]()
) but when I walked in one of my BMs (my cousin) took my coat and then when I entered the room my whole family was there!!! I had an inkling that MAYBE it was really my shower (even mentioned it at the last GTG) but I thought it was too early and convinced myself that I was wrong...well turns out I was right after all!!!! ![]()

Truly overwhelming was the word of the day!!![]()
Everyone really went above and beyond and I was so taken aback that I couldn't help but cry. Unfortunately not many people from Kevin's side could make it, but to see my mother and father's sides of the family together was really special, and it was all for lil ol' me!! I felt so honored!! ![]()
Except one of my BMs and one of my aunts was too sick to make it, they were missed but I understand that’s life sometimes. Tho if I had known it was really my shower I would’ve worn a different outfit, and the jewelry I was saving for my shower, oh well!! That’s what I get for wanting to be surprised!!!
It was at an Italian restaurant called Bella Napoli in Famingdale (Rt 109). The menu started with soup & salad, and then a choice of chicken marsala, veal parmigina, and eggplant rollatini (yum!![]()
), with a side of fusilli. Followed by coffe/tea and cake. ![]()
I gave up soda for Lent so I couldn't drink any but my Grandma paid for the champagne punch which was delish!! ![]()
Side note: She then proceeded to drink 4 glasses and started to 'feel it' by the end of the night!! ![]()
Kevin was in on it and was really good about keeping the secret, he and my brother came afterwards to load all the gifts!! They kept it from Chelsea (FH's daughter) tho bc they were afraid she would slip, so she was surprised too!!!!![]()
She felt bad bc she didn't know so she couldn't get me a gift, so I told her that her letting me marry her dad was her gift to me.
We had lots of decorations, balloons, B&G bears, a doggie to sign, buttons, and I got my Bride hat to wear!!![]()
We played games, including Bridal Bingo and Friends trivia (my fave show), and of course I had to wear my lovely ribbon hat. We didn't get the Dyson but that’s ok, we got the Chocolate Fondue Fountain!!!!!! And someone gave me TY notes that I have to start writing out now!! ![]()
It was so much fun, I want to do it again!!!
