Saturday QOTD

What are (or were) you most scared about going wrong at your wedding?

____________________________

I am nervous about the logistics of the morning of, and really need to put together a timeline.

Also nervous about dancing at the wedding, and all the eyes on us - I think I need to make time for dance lessons.

Finally, nervous that FH's ex will show up.

Re: Saturday QOTD

I'm nervous that a major vendor won't show up that morning and I get absolutely screwed over.

Even moreso, FH having an allergy attack that morning. His allergies are partially emotionally triggered, so I'm anticipating an attack. He's never been well for any major event we've had to do, because he freaks before hand and triggers it. Plus, environmental elements as well, dust, cat, etc. No cat anymore, but he still has attacks, go figure. Meds only work when they want to, seemingly. He just had a bad attack for no reason at all last week...wasn't exposed to anything different, meds didn't work, nothing. But we got our apartment....major life change, stress, so allergy attack.

FH doesn't just have a tiny sniffle or itch...his is debilitating and extremely severe. He's unable to leave his house and function in normal society when he has attacks. If he has an attack the day of the wedding, well, effectively our day will be ruined. And that's no exaggeration.

Can you send him to some kind of specialist? Does Benadryl help?

He's seen an ENT and an allergist, and neither have helped. He's way beyond Benadryl. His prescription med is Astelyn I think, it's a non-steroid nasal spray, and it works decently, but every so often he has the flare up, and then he takes Claritin-D to cut the edge, which gets him over the hump, but he doesn't like to take very often because it gives him the shakes. Even when he's 'fine', he's still constantly sniffling, it's like a habit. I'm terrified that one day in the not so distant future his heart is going to just stop because of all the stress on it from breathing all messed up. And he blames me, because my now-deceased cat triggered his allergies.

I was so nervous about getting really sick... like with a gross stomach virus or something! Luckily we were both perfectly healthy.

oh I'm JUST as bad. I am most worried about not liking my hair/makeup. That and getting something on my dress. The other worries don't even come close in comparison. Vain, much?

I'm not worried about something on my dress, but hair and makeup worry me.

I'm nervous about the shuttle bus not showing up or people missing it. I know it's silly (especially since we are using Camelot), but I can't help stressing over it....

Re: Saturday QOTD

Ours would be - the fact that an ex-GF of DH's from 6 years ago (mind you they only dated 7 months too) had always emailed him or tried to make contact w/him to totally blast me & to make herself look like she was so wonderful & wanted a chance for reconciliation. We had not heard anything in about 2 years prior to us getting married so we thought she had finally 'cut the cord' and moved on,...well about 2 1/2 months of being engaged she looked him up on FB & sent 2 emails to which he never responded to. It was right at that time I had signed up w/LIW & posted our engagement announcement. She must have googled him & found the engagement announcement b/c 3 weeks later she contacts him through reunion.com (created a fake acct just to send 2 nasty messages & then deleted acct) - where she said she saw engagement announcement & how ugly I was & what I loser I must be to wait all that time for DH & how DH must really not be sure since he waited 5 years to propose to me & how she was threatening about showing up to the wedding. (Funny, even thought it's over I still gets the bad kind of 'chills' when Im writing about it.) Anyway we contacted an attorney and filed for an order of protection but they said that we have to tell her to stop emailing, calling, texting, etc - to CEASE ALL CONTACT from that point fwd & if she violated that, then we couold get OOP....(sigh) so we both - but me more - spent the rest of my planning time worrrying about what kind of crazy S&*t she might pull the day of the wedding.

Luckily, I had hired a DOC who helped calm me tremendously, I was able to find current pictures of her from her match.com acct & gave them to RH so #1 - she didnt try to attempt to get a job there, #2 didnt try to just sneak into the reception, also gave copies to DOC & church & also to a very good friend of mine who still wrestles at 39 and coaches wrestling as well - I tried to cover all my bases so I wouldnt have to give her a 2nd thought. But I have to be honest - I thought about her up until the very day of the wedding. When it came to the day of - I only gave one glance over my shoulder as I was walking up to the church - then I never thoght about her the rest of the day b/c I felt I had all the right ppl loking out for her & would remove her b4 I would even know she was there.
But it was scary - and I hate her for taking away some of my joy while planning - maybe that's all she was initially looking to do - but she was never a stable person to begin with,...so on such an important day in my life - I didnt want to take any chances.
