****Saturday QOTD****

So sorry I am soooo late with this!!! I woke up late and was at a baby shower all day. So this leads me to my question

Where would you like your shower to be? What would you like it to be like? Do you have a theme you would like it to be?




I would love to have a BBQ in my parents backyard. Just eating steak, hotdogs, hamburgers and drinking beers! I like being in a place that I am comfortable in. i have no theme. Just have fun and party with all the girls. But I know my mother has other plans and wants it in a restaurant so she doesnt have to clean up the mess! haha

I'd also love a simple brunch shower, no real theme really, just a chance to enjoy everyone. I don't really like shower games or any of that, so something relaxing where people can just eat and chat.

Unfortunately, I don't think its going to be that simple. A few years ago when I was the MOH in my BFF's wedding, we threw her a book-themed shower since she's such a book lover. Bookmark favors, Barnes and Noble gift cards for game prizes, etc. For centerpieces, we made big books and photoshopped her and her husband's face onto Harelequin romance novel covers, complete with personalized back cover descriptions (there's an example below--each table had a different 'book'). So now that she's my MOH, I have a feeling she'll return the favor and I'll see my face plastered on something lol!

I want a brunch and would love a theme with elephants, but my mom said it doesn't fit anything . So I would be happy with no theme as long as it was brunch since breakfast is my favorite meal of the day!
