my shower is saturday (it is obvi not a surprise). the invite calls for 3pm. Do i go there at like 2:50 to greet guests as they arrive, or come at like 3:15 when everyone is already there?

Re: saturday shower - when to arrive???
I showed up about 20 minutes after the start time of the shower. It wasn't a surprise (at least the day/time wasn't) but everything else about it was. I think a lot of the guests THOUGHT it was a surprise though.

I'd show up a little bit later to sort of make your 'grand entrance'. It will also give people time to get there, get settled, and allow a little extra time for late-comers before the party starts.

I'd show up a little early so you can check out the room and all and absorb everything before the day takes off!

I showed up early and it was nice to greet everyone as they arrived, vs, all at once!

Idk. If people know that you know, then it might be nice to be there to greet people on the way in. If people think its a surprise or if you just want to be surprised about the details (if you don't know them already) then I'd come later.
Either way, you're the bride, the guest of honor....whatever time you show up is the right time!

I think it's really up to you what you prefer to do. I didn't want to make any sort of entrance because I don't really like attention. I felt more comfortable and at ease with just being there when everyone arrived so there was no awkwardness.

Re: saturday shower - when to arrive???
Mine is NOT a surprise and I think I would like to get there early.. because I don't want the people who still think it's a surprise to be expecting a reaction from me when I am not going to give them one!!!
My FMIL thinks it's odd that I am not having a surprise shower and is telling everyone it's a surprise anyway???? So weird!
