*Saturday's QOTD*

I'm not even sure I'm supposed to do a Saturday QOTD, but when I was brainstorming at the beginning of the week, I came up with one more and figured why not throw it out there.

Honestly, I hope everyone steps away from the computer and goes out to enjoy the GORGEOUS weather today!!!!

Here's the question...

Is FH like your own father? How similar/different is he?

Are you anything like your FMIL? Is there any truth to the idea that you marry what you know?

I'll answer a little later. This question makes me giggle though.

Have a great day all!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am EXACTLY like FMIL!!! We use the same strange expressions and it's scary. She keeps saying that I remind her of me at her age.

I think FH is like my dad as well.

Great job as BOTW Ms Sandra!

FH is like my father in that he is kind and that he thinks about others. My father is always doing stuff for other people. Even growing up he was father to all my friends. Even with his own friends he always puts others first, to a fault. FH is the same way. But where they differ is that FH is extremely hands on. We have redone everything in our house. My father is not mister fix it, my mom is more like that.

In fact I would say FH is more like my mom, handy and level headed, not very emotional. It works because I am completely like my father, over emotional, extremely social, dramatic, loving to be the center of attention...yet overly caring and kind. My father however was just like his MIL and my mother is just like her father. So I think a trend is going.

I am not really like FMIL at all. I love her, but we are extremely different. I am much more emotional, creative and passionate. She is very level headed and not emotional at all. But she appreciates those qualities in me.

FH is a little like dad in that they both always put their families first and are both very kind and sweet.

FMIL passd away 12 years ago I don't think we had similar personalities but she was a redhead like me!

DH is like my dad in that they are both handy and love to fix things......I dont think I could have married a man that cant fix things.....I am handy myself and couldnt deal with fixing things for my husband.

I am nothing like my MIL....thank god. DH & his mom have a strange relationship because of how she is

I just want to say ... thank GOD FH is nothing like my father. If he was, we wouldn't be getting married!

FH is like my daddy in some ways....I can see a lot of similarities.

I AM NOTHING like my FMIL....she is quiet, doesn't dress up or fix herself up at all, only likes to watch tv, very homebody, she likes to do crafts, shes very moody and grumpy, she doesn't like to go to family functions or keep in touch with her family, all she drinks is coffee and smoke cigarettes, she is pretty miserable.

I was talking to my dad today after I posted this this morning and he laughed at me and said 'I'm nothing like Michael!' and I said, actually, that's not completely true...

Both my dad and FH are very practical people who are good at creating things with their hands. Both don't let their emotions get in the way of being rational. They're both incredibly smart, like lots of types of food, and like to try new things and go new places. They're both into photography too.

The way they're different... well my dad is very boisterous and outgoing and FH is much more reserved. That's why my dad made that remark.

FMIL is a nut (a lot of the time) -- she's just so babbly and acts like a child a lot. But she means well and doesn't harm people. We are both very happy people who like to talk a lot, but that's about it. At least I don't think we're similar in any other way! And the subjects of our conversations are very different.

Hope everyone got out and enjoyed the sun today!

FH is just like my dad. I used to complain about certain things that my dad used to do and FH does the same things my dad like when he gets mad, how he handles his money and his love for just staying at home

FH reminds me in lots of ways like my FATHER!! I love that!!

I'm not that much like his mother but it works out!! One thing we do have in common is our thrive to always achieve our goals and make things happen!! Thats a plus (I guess!!)

FH is somewhat like my father, but not really. My father is much more goofy than FH, who sometimes can be a big giant stick in the mud. They do share a really bad trait though, the jack of all trades, master of none trait. The never finishing anything to completion because then it will be done, the challenge in the hunt and the next big fixation, only to get bored and move on to the next fixation.

I think I do share some of FMIL's traits, much to FH's chagrin...we both nag the crap out of him lol. We both worry and stress, and aren't very social and tend to take a step back in large party situations and observe instead...but I feel that she is much more protective, which is natural since she's a mother and i'm not, and a little more extreme in all the shared traits.

Well, since I don't know my father I will say no...
But growing up my grandfather was my father figure and YES my DH has many similar personality traits as him! I hadn't even realized it until one day my grandma pointed it out He even uses sweet & low like grandpa did

I don't think I'm anything like my MIL. I definitely don't baby him like she does. Maybe he does see things in me that are similar but if so, he has never mentioned it.
