Sausage Bread

SAUSAGE BREAD

Cover frozen dough in oil and let defrost for 4 hours (or even better...get it fresh from a pizza place...some of them sell it for only $1.00).

ONIONS:
Sauté and lightly brown chopped onions and oil in skillet.
Drain and put aside.

SAUSAGE:
Take casings off Sausage.
Break into small pieces as you brown.
Drain and let cool.

PEPPERS:
Drain oil from peppers.
Slice into strips.

Roll out dough into rectangular shape.
Don’t roll too thin.
Put sausage meat on one side.
Put peppers on top.
Put onion on top.
Put mozzarella cheese on top.
Sprinkle with black pepper.
Fold over and smooth side with fork.
Whip egg yolk and brush on top.
Sprinkle sesame seeds.

Bake 30 minutes at 400 degrees.

That's a great recipe! I make a similar one but use pepperoni & mozzarella instead of the sausage and peppers.

It's really delicious.

We make this with broccoli too. Comes out great. We also tried it with breaded and baked eggplant slices.
