Save the Date...

Hi!

I have two questions regarding your save the dates:

1. Do you include your information about the hotels with the save the date or with the regular invite?

2. How early do you have to send them out? I'm sure this question has been asked a million times - I was going to send them out in August (7 months prior) but today I was told that I should send them out by May. I feel like 10 months is REALLY early?!

We're not doing STDs, but I hear 6-8 months out should suffice. Invites go out 2 months prior, I believe. We're a while off from that.

Save the Date...

I'm sending mine out around late sept/early october of this year for the sheer fact that i have A LOT of OOT and out of COUNTRY guests. Also... its near the holidays SO I want to make sure everyone has enough time AND that they STDs don't get lost or mashed up with the holiday mail.

I typically havent seen the hotel info with the STD. If you have a wedding website you can include that and have the hotel info on the wedding website :)

HTH!

I plan on putting our wedding website on them, and on the site I'll have all the info for the after party and hotel. Etiquette-wise they aren't supposed to go out until 6-8 months beforehand, but if you have a lot of OOT guests you can definitely do them earlier. HTH!

We sent ours out about 8 months before. I would save the hotel info for the invitation and like other girls said put the website in there and post the hotel info on there. HTH!

We plan on sending our STD's out as soon as we get our STD back from our photographer. We probably will be sending them out March which is 9 months prior to the wedding. We will be including our wedding website on the STD which has all the hotel information.

Save the Date...

We are sending out our STD's as soon as we get them back so hopefully by beginning of March (10 months prior since it's around the holidays) and we did include the hotel accommodations. I don't have a wedding website. Also, the STD's are magnets but only along the top so the hotel accommodations are going to be on the back.

I think it also depends on the time of year that you're getting married. Since my wedding is in January, I feel like I don't have to send out the STD too far in advance, but I just got a STD from a friend and her wedding is only 4 months away. I thought that was kind of late. What if I already planned a vacation this summer?!

Not giving hotel information. Also, we will be sending ours out about 9 months to 1 year before our wedding!

Re: Save the Date...

Our wedding is in August and I will probably send them out 6 months before in February. I don't want to send them too early or around the holidays because I feel like people will toss them aside and forget. I don't expect all of our guest to keep our picture up on the fridge for a year!

This!

Since we're getting married during Memorial Day weekend, we plan on sending out STDs close to a year before. It really depends on the time of year. I would say you should be ok with sending them out about 9 months before!

Save the Date...

My STD's are going out this week which is a full year and a month before my wedding date. We are having a Destination Wedding and want to allow guests ample time to make payments. We made a website to update everyone about payments and other information. Also wanted to give everyone notice just in case they don't have a passport or need to get one updated.

Not sure when we will send out the actual wedding invitations probably like 5-6 months before??? Final payments are due on January 4, 2014.....which is less than a year away.

im sending mine out about a year in advance with our wedding website on it. all of the information is on there for accommodations and everything. the only guests who are here are my parents and the bridal party, everyone else is out of state, so we want to give them as much notice as possible.
