Save the Date Cards

I'm getting married July 4,2003. When should I send out save the date cards? Also do I send them to everyone I plan to invite or just to out of town guests?

Save the Date Cards - just sent mine

I just sent my save the date cards out the first week in Jan. and my wedding in June 8th. Since your wedding is a holiday weekend I would send them out soon and send them to everyone! Good luck and enjoy!

STD Cards

I got magnets made up from www.favorlady.com. They were very inexpensive and make a cute thing to send to your guests. I am sending to all of my guests.

Save the Date Cards - just sent mine

If I send them out soon, doesn't that mean I need to really finalize my guest list? Can I not send the cards to the Maybe's on the list? Thanks for your help.

Save the Date Cards - just sent mine

I am also getting married on July 4, 2003. I planned on sending them out early this July. I figured that one year was more than enough notice for a holiday weekend, since most people I know sent them out 4-6 months prior to their wedding. Just my 2 cents.....

Save the Date Cards - one more question

You said you're getting married on July 4, 2003 also. When are you going to start looking at florists, photographer, etc? I wasn't sure if it's too soon to start in Feb., March???

julykbride - answer (sort of) and more ???s

I don't know when to start looking. I feel like on the one hand it's kinda early to start, but since it's a federal holiday it might be hard to find people who are willing to work that day. I think I'm going to start next month. I've booked the hall (ceremony & reception at Sans Souci) and the entertainment (Tom Gordon) and the deacon from my church and my fiancee's rabbi. What have you done so far?

julykbride - answer (sort of) and more ???s

I haven't done much. I booked the ceremony and reception at the Watermill. I'm hoping it won't rain so that we can be married outside. I still need everything else. I'm going to a bridal expo this weekend with my mom. I live in NYC so it's hard for me to go out there to look at vendors, especially when they are not open on weekends! I hope that getting married on July 4th won't be a problem for vendors.

July 4th Brides

Dear July 4th Brides - I'm getting married on July 4th of this year and booking vendors was not a problem for me. Most of them are willing to work with you not to mention the fact that they know that they will have to work on most holidays. I do however suggest that you book the vendors as far in advance as possible, like at the 1 year to 9 months mark. If you have any questions about booking vendors or which vendors I used, feel free to contact me at [email protected] Best of luck to all! vickfl77

My mistake - I thought you were getting married 2002!!

Sorry! I would send them out 6-9 months in advance - there is no need to send them out over a year in advance!! Yes, I would send them to everyone and have my guest list settled by then. Sorry for the confusion - I read your post too fast and thought it said 2002 :) Enjoy the planning - it sure is fun!
