Save the Date Cards

I'm planning on making my own save the date cards? Any suggestions on where I can buy them? I saw some in Staples...also what do I need to say on them and do I provide any info (ie. directions, hotel blocks, etc.) at that time or just wait until I send out invitations?

Save the Date Cards

We are sending different things to different guests. To the people who are travelling, we are sending a small brochure of hotel and travel info. For guests that are in the local area we are thinking about sending the STD cards. I think I will also include hotel block information in all the wedding invitations in case people don't want to have to drive home.

Save the Date Cards

I am using postcards. I found it easier to design the front and have them printed at www.cardstore.com but you can print them yourself. I just had our names, date and location and asked guests to save the date. I also included a link to our website. If you would like to see it, I have a photo on my website (http://www.lukeandstefanie.homestead.com/paperwork.html) under Save the Date.

Save the Date Cards (LONG)

If there is a particular theme to your wedding you might consider buying stationary that reflects your theme. My fiance is from Scotland and we are trying to incorporate a Scottish theme to the wedding. The Save the Date cards are going to be printed on stationary with his tartan and Clan Crest on it. The wording will be something as follows: Please Save the Date of Saturday, June 14, 2003 for the Wedding Celebration of My name and His Name in Long Island, New York Scottish Highland attire suggested. Reservations can be made under the My Name/His Name wedding block at the Wyndam Hotel in Hauppauge, New York (Phone #) Invitation to follow. I was planning on sending flight info to his relatives in Scotland and info on wear guests can rent kilts if they so desire as well. Hope this helps!

July: Thanks!

I don't know any HTML so I used Homestead to make my website. They are reasonably priced (I think I paid $25 for the year?) Homestead has a really easy to use web building tool. It doesn't do everything I would like but you don't have to know any coding to do it. Im very proud of my little site...I can't wait to send out my STD cards so my friends can see it!

Save the Date Cards (LONG)

I got my cards at Staples and set it up in Publisher 98. One set, for locals, has a poem: Please be our honored guest as Richard and Diana become husband and wife. This September on the fourteenth, we will pledge to love each other for life. Family and friends from far and near, from in and out of state, we hope that you will share our day, and that you save the date. September 14, 2002 Long Island, New York Formal invitation to follow. For out of towners, they will be sent the same card with poem, but I added the following info: Website info Reserved hotel info and how to get rooms there 4 other hotel/motel options with distance from reception, address, phone, and price range Recommended airlines and airports to fly into My phone number if anyone has any questions. I thought they were comprehensive, and they printed out beautifully.
