'Save the Date Cards'

Has anyone ever sent cards to let out-of-towners aware of your Wedding Date? My Wedding is on Memorial Day weekend next year and I was thinking to send out these cards or something so selected guests can hold this date, I know alot of people go away Memorial Day weekend or make plans well in advance? Thank you!

'Save the Date Cards'

i sent out my card in Feb. for my wedding on July 4th. Everyone thought it was a great idea. I am going to send out my invitations the beginning of May and I think that all my guests will remember of the date being that they received the Save The Date card about 2 months before. I would suggest to do it. It''s a great way to reming them of your date.
