Save the Date Cards - When to Send

Apporx. how many months before the big day do you send your save the date cards out

I just sent mine out one week ago. . .I had my engagement party, and I put them in with the thank you cards.

I was reading something and they said at least 6 months before. But you can send them out when you set your date.

Our Wedding in on Labor Day weekend of 2008. I was planning on sending out the save the dates right after next labor day, before people start planning for 08'......So about 1 year for us.

ok - - - I thought about a year.....I just get nervous....I want people to write it on their 2008 calendar as soon as they get it ha ha ha ha. People like a heads up....and I want to give them time to prep for the big event

I plan to send out a year before the date for 97% of my list.

Since i plan to change jobs with in the year leading up to my wedding I may not send out the work ones till 6 months prior. Its only two people anyway but I PRAY to god I have a diff. job by then.

Just make sure the people you send the STD's are the ones you really want there .. if they are ifi's then hold back a few months.
